Hugr
Added Oct 21, 2026
Hugr is an iPhone gym log and calorie tracker. It suggests the next weight and reps from what you logged, scans a plate or a label, and can estimate calorie burn from your food and weigh-ins. Hugi, the AI coach, is a Premium feature. The site says Android is on the way. The US App Store listing requires iOS 18.
- Price
- Freemium. The US App Store description says the free plan keeps workout and food logging with caps: 3 plans, 3 custom exercises, 10 custom foods, meals, and recipes, 10 progress photos, and 10 AI scans a month. New accounts get 14 days of Premium with no card. Premium is $9.99 a month, $24.99 for 3 months, or $69.99 a year, and adds sync, smart progression, full Insights, measured calorie burn, and Hugi. Prices vary by region.

Where it fits
- Workout planning · rank 14
A new iPhone logger that suggests the next set, once you pay. Fitbod and Planfit are the picks when you want the session without waiting on a new app.
- Calorie and macro tracking · rank 16
Photo and barcode logging with a published Premium price, and measured burn only on Premium. SnapCalorie is the one that says the photo log stays free.
Pros
- The free plan is a logger with the caps written down, not a weekend that deletes the app.
- The three Premium prices are in the US App Store description.
- You approve Hugi's changes. The site says nothing changes until you apply it.
Cons
- iPhone only, on iOS 18. The site says Android is not out.
- The next-weight suggestions and Hugi are Premium. The free app will not coach the session.
- A photo estimate is still an estimate. The listing says you review it before it is saved.
